The Communication Cell at the Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) serves as the official communication arm of the institute, ensuring a seamless flow of information between students, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders. As the primary custodian of PUMBA’s communication, the cell plays a vital role in upholding the institute’s brand image, fostering transparency, and strengthening its digital presence.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Official Communication: Manages and disseminates all official notices, announcements, and updates within the department to maintain clarity and uniformity.
  • Student Onboarding: Collects data of newly admitted students, forms official WhatsApp groups, generates institutional PUMBA email IDs, and provides orientation support.
  • Publication & Design: Plans, edits, and publishes the annual magazine Nexus in collaboration with the University Press. Designs certificates, badges, brochures, and other creative collaterals for departmental needs.
  • Digital Presence & Branding: Maintains PUMBA’s official social media handles (LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) by curating posts, festive greetings, and event highlights. Collaborates with other cells for joint event promotions and branding consistency.
