Roles and Responsibilities
Richard Branson once said "Business opportunities are like Buses, they come one after the other" We at ED cell Pumba, believe in catching a bus on this bus stop. Having this philosophy, we are committed not to miss a single opportunity of learning which comes our way. After all, it’s the learning and thinking that differentiates an entrepreneur from others.
The entrepreneur is our visionary, the creator in each of us. We're born with that quality and it defines our lives as we respond to what we see, hear, feel, and experience. It is squelched, thwarted, without air or stimulation, and dies OR is developed, nurtured, and given space to flourish.
'Entrepreneurship Development Cell' is an initiative by the students of Department of Management Sciences, UoP (PUMBA), Pune. The prime focus of this initiative is to develop a sustained platform that supports students of PUMBA in starting up; showcasing their skills and structuring their thoughts in the less explored field of entrepreneurship & thereby realizing their ideas and converting them to reality. This is the initiative by the ED cell through which two objectives are met
- Students are given 1st hand opportunity to directly work under an entrepreneur and interpret the challenges in an educative manner.
- To foster entrepreneurship development by providing the knowledge and manpower support to entrepreneurs with fresh start-ups.
To translate the ideas into reality, B plans have a pivotal role to play. ED cell helps the students of the department to make viable, workable B plans. Ed cell currently holds a pool of 20 + B plans.
On weekly basis all the Ed cell members meet and review the progress made on our B plans. Also this meet helps in bringing fresh b plans under the umbrella of ED cell.
It is a quarterly magazine which includes articles form students and faculty members of PUMBA. However this year we plan to bring it under a much wider scope encouraging students from all over Pune interested in entrepreneurship to put their pen down in EMBARK
